When Scott & I left my parents house at 10:40 it was POURING rain. I was so worried that the weather would not cooperate for their day but we still had our fingers crossed. We arrived in the marriage waiting room at 11:10 and waited for a half hour or so until they seated us in the room. Everything was so perfect and the bride and groom were both so happy. The huge grins on their faces gave that away. I, on the other hand, burst into uncontrollable sobs. (Seriously? Why do I do that?) Poor Scott who had to keep asking me, "Honey, are you okay?"
After their beautiful ceremony, Scott and I went to pick up Megon's bridal bouquet and then we waited outside the temple for the newlyweds to appear. We waited, we waited longer, we waited even longer, oh...and still longer. They took FOREVER and we were all standing out in the cold and rainy weather. I kept asking my aunts, "Did we take this long? Because I am so SORRY if we did!" FINALLY they made their appearance just in time for the sun to break through the clouds and the rain to stop. Figures.
We took family pictures around the back side of the temple and then the bride and groom went off with the photographer to take pictures of their own. It was really incredible how the weather cooperated for them for that brief picture taking time before it started raining again. During that time, I also had the chance to take a few pictures of my mom and dad while we were hanging out. (Thanks for letting me try out a few things on my camera, Mom and Dad!)
While they were finishing with pictures, we went back to Kaysville/Layton and went out to a late lunch at our family favorite--Fiesta Guadalajara. When we finished there, it was a rush back to Mom and Dad's house to put on our 'reception outfits' and primp for the reception...

patrick's black shirt w/ black jacket looks very sharp! i'm glad the weather mostly cooperated. i thought about you guys on wednesday and hoped it was going okay. perhaps subconsciously, you and patrick don't want to share the other one. he was emotional at your wedding, too. :)
