p&m's wedding dinner

On Tuesday morning I went up to Kaysville to help get things ready for the wedding dinner my mom and dad were hosting for Patrick and Megon that evening. After arriving around 8:30 a.m. we decided it would be fun to go out to breakfast before going to pick up Patrick's tux so we all head over to Doug and Emmy's for some yummy breakfast and of course, amazing scones. Patrick had to go off to work after that so mom and I spent the rest of the afternoon clothes shopping. As usual, I always come out on top on these mother/daughter shopping trips. :)

Around 2:30 p.m. we went down to SLC to pick up the centerpieces for the dinner. They turned out so cute with the yellow and apple green that Megon had chosen as her colors. We quickly dropped them off at The Wight House where the dinner was to be held and then went to get ourselves ready.

We arrived back to The Wight House around 5:45 to finish setting up. The guests started arriving a little after 6 with the dinner starting at 6:30. They had a really good turn out with about 50 guests in attendance.

Dinner was either Chicken Cordon Bleu or Prime Rib along with salad, rolls, steamed veggies, potatoes, and Snickers cake for dessert. It all tasted so yummy!

When dinner was over, Patrick made some kind remarks and then they showed their wedding video to all of us. It turned out to be really cute and it was fun to reminisce while looking at the pictures.

The event ended around 9:00 when I went home with a migraine. Thanks to Excedrin and the TLC of Scott and my parents, I started to feel much better later that night which led to all of us up talking til 12:30 a.m.

Great job on the pix and telling it like it was! It was a wonderful two days, and we are so happy that Patrick has found his eternal companion!
