Even though it seemed like the time would never come, I finally finished my finals! Though it wasn't without a few bumps in the road. One of the things that I disliked most about this semester was the fact that in every single class I had a group project/presentation/paper. I usually have no problems working in groups but because I am living so far from campus it definitely made things more difficult. In one of my classes, I spent 5 1/2 hours (the day that the assignment was due) writing one of my group member's portions of the paper because they were too inconsiderate not to do their part. Reason #1 that I hate group work: Not everyone contributes the same amount but everyone gets the same grade. Well, lets not get me started on my many new reasons for hating group work...
Back to finals...for the most part, I was very pleased with how well I did. I guess the real measure of success will come when my grades show up on my transcript. I've been patiently checking every day since I finished and so far only ONE of my professors has come through. For what it is worth, I was very happy with what that grade turned out to be. :)
The day after finals were over was also my last day working at Zions! I think it is hard leaving when you feel like you know your stuff. I hate the thoughts of re-training somewhere else, but I think that this will be best for me (and Scott) in the long run. Next semester I am going to be working on BYU campus with one of my former professors doing infant research. I think it will be a good resume booster and give me some research experience which is necessary to be considered for graduate school. As hard as it is going to be for me to drive to Provo every day, I should have a little more time freed up to do homework, fulfill the responsibilities of my calling and be a little bit better wife.
