Bridger started preschool at Raggedy Ann & Andy Preschool last Tuesday! (Yes, that is the preschool that I went to!) He was very excited to go to 'real school' like 'big kids do' and was extra excited that he got to bring Daddy his first day for orientation! So far things seem to be going well for him and he enjoys it. Although, on Thursday when he had to go by himself he told me several times "I'm just a little nervous." He also told the teacher immediately upon our arrival to preschool, "I really like my house." ha! But--he forgets his nerves as soon as they start into something. The kid absolutely loves to learn and I think having him around other kids is the best place for him right now.
It is so strange to have a kid in school and participating in extracurricular activities! He seems to look really grown up to me these days! But, these are all fun adventures and we are excited for him to learn and make new friends wherever he goes.
The peanut-allergy thing has been a little stressful as we have begun school & soccer. It is funny how I have never worried too much about him having peanuts before because I have always been the one giving him food, reading labels carefully, etc. But, now that he is with other people regularly, it is a whole new level of worry! After going in and speaking to his preschool teacher again, we have come up with a strategy that I think will be effective. I guess you just learn to take things as they come, right? Baby steps for moms! ;)
So far Dawson and I have been enjoying our "free time" together. We've been shopping both days this week! :) And, to be honest, I think Daws has earned some one-on-one time!
