A Very CURIOUS Birthday Party

For MONTHS Bridger has been asking for a Curious George birthday party.  Where he came up with this, I have no idea.  But-we did our best to come through for him.

We were lucky to be surrounded by family and a couple of friends this year for a very CURIOUS 3rd birthday party in honor of Bridger! Here are some pictures of his special day!

Helping us set up!  Very excited for his guests to arrive!
Signs leading to our backyard
Sign in book for the guests--The sign says, "When I'm older I'll be CURIOUS about who was here to celebrate with me.  Please sign my book and leave me a note.  Love, Bridger"

Instead of doing a dinner this year, we kept it low-key by doing every monkey's favorite treat--banana splits!  Had to keep the ice cream and some of the toppings inside until the last minute because it was SO HOT!

Favors--Every family got to take their very own Curious George book home.

Bridger's 2nd cousin, Etta.  She is such a doll.
Scott was an awesome sport and dressed up as The Man With the Yellow Hat!  Bridger was scared at first, then he realized it was "just Daddy wearing a costume" :)

Blowing out 3 candles on his personal Curious George cake!  This was my first attempt at making/using fondant.   I felt like it turned out pretty well for an amateur!  When I asked Bridger if he liked his cake he told me, "I'll like it if you put fire on it."
So lucky to have one set of his great-grandparents there.  They love him so, so much!
A shout out to Uncle Patrick and Aunt Megon for their help at the party!  Patrick recorded most of the party on video for us!
Bridger was completely SPOILED with so many fun gifts!  The next morning he was having a serious anxiety attack trying to figure out which one to play with first!

Not pictured: Games played by all of the kids, a Curious George piñata and all 35 guests!

A HUGE thank-you to everyone who came to celebrate with us and helped to make Bridger's birthday such a special day!  He is so lucky to have many people who care about him!
