Seriously.

Today I received an e-mail from Costco.com telling me that something I had ordered from them was ready for pick up at my local store.  Wanting to get it taken care of when I had a free moment, we immediately got in the car and made the 15 minute drive to the nearest Costco.  After parking in the farthest stall in the parking lot, walking in the bitter cold weather and showing the doorwoman my trusty Costco membership I made my way to the pick up only to receive the news that my item was, in fact, NOT ready for pick-up.  The worker promptly told me that sometimes 'they' will e-mail the customer when it ships from 'them', not when it arrives.  I was told that I should not come in until I received a phone call.

Resolved that there was really nothing I could do about the situation I strolled back through the store, picked up my toilet paper and then wandered through the newly stocked toy aisles looking at potentially fun Christmas toys.

After meandering back toward the front of the store, I figured I'd better check out.  I got my item.  (Yep, I managed to leave with only the T.P.--which has got to be some type of a record low spent in a single Costco trip.)  I decided to get $20.00 cash back so I could get me a $1.00 frozen yogurt.  I hate how they don't take cards.

We ate--slowly.  Bridger waved to all of the customers walking out. Then we left, made our way out to the car and drove home.

As we were pulling into the driveway, my cell phone rang.  It was Mark from Costco.  He was just calling to inform me that my order was ready for pick up.

Seriously.

And that, my friends,  is how this whole week has gone.
