Paint-a-Thon

For about 20 years now Zions Bank branches and departments have served the community by each choosing the home of a disabled or low income community member whose home needs an upgrade and painting it for them. Employees of the departments then volunteer their time (after business hours) to paint the homes for these families.

Last night, Scott and I had the chance to go to Rose Park and help paint the outside of a home there. Scott was designated as one of the rollers and I was handed a brush to do some of the detail work. While we are by no means expert painters, it really did make the house look so much better!

{working away but...NOT done!}

This was our second year volunteering together (last year Scott came to help the people from the branch where I was working) and I'm sure it won't be the last. As always, we had a fun time getting flicks of paint sprayed in our hair by inexperienced rollers, talking to Scott's co-workers and of course--painting.

{these two older volunteers asked me to take a picture of them...they were hilarious!}
