Oquirrh Mountain

Yesterday TARA was nice enough to come along as my date for a private walk-through of the new Oquirrh Mountain temple. My mom had invited me and my 'significant other' (Mom, you crack me up) but since Scott was swamped at work, I of course took my adopted sister. :)

The inside of this temple was unlike any of the other ones I've been to. While they are all beautiful, this temple has such an interesting architectural design and seemed SO different! I love the color schemes that they used and I also loved the artwork that hung on the walls. I am always amazed at the attention that is given to even the smallest details. The flooring, woodwork, and other features come from all over the world. All I can say is, it is definitely worth the trip!

Here are a few pictures that we took on the grounds after the unexpected rainstorm that occurred while we were enjoying refreshments.

If you are interested in going to the open house, the public tours begin June 1st and run through August 1st. You can make a reservation by going to the Church website.

{taking pictures with tara is a win/lose situation...love having documentation of our time together...hate that she always looks so much better than me! ;) }

By the way...this is post #100! Shall we go for 200?
