Biking 101

Last night we took Bridger to the trail near our house so Scott could help him learn how to ride his bike.  He loves sitting on it with his helmet on but just can't seem to get the hang of pedaling...let alone steering at the same time. :)  

Bridger was so excited to have the focus all on him ("Take my picture, Mommy! Are you taking my picture?! Do you want me to stand by my bike? Let me fix it for you. Are you taking the picture?")   

He decided to take a break and have a snack with brother.

He made some good progress in a short amount of time but we may have been a little too confident in his abilities because Scott and I both watched him crash and burn.  Bridger insisted that Scott "let go" and then he veered off the trail and went head first right into the weeds.  He ended up with scratches all over his face and a bloody nose.  (He even had a weed stuck up there!)  We felt so bad but Bridger didn't shed a single tear about it.  He just wanted to get back on so he could show us how he pedals by himself.  Oh, boys! 

After crashing and burning.  His head is soaking wet from sweating under his helmet.  Tough guy!
