Last Tuesday, Bridger invited his closest friends and family members over for a BBQ at our house in celebration of his 2nd birthday! We have been lovingly referring to this little shindig as 'Bridger's Beach Bash' and preparations were weeks in the making. We started out by deciding upon the beach theme. Bridger is a total water nut and would spend every waking moment at the water park/swimming pool if we let him so it seemed only fitting that we do something with water.
I came up with the not-so-genius idea of doing the invitations 'message in a bottle style'. After going to about 5 stores I had all of the materials and put them together only to realize that I would have to hand deliver them because shipping 20 glass-bottles with sand and invitations would be a complete nightmare. So--off delivering we went! We got
almost everyone. I think we missed 2 who got the digital version of the invite via text message. {Sorry, guys!}

The following are a few pictures from the party highlighting some of the details. Side Note: Being the crazy pregnant woman that I am at this point in time, I feel like I spent most of the time running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. I was trying to keep food refilled and talk to the guests while shooting sideways glances at crazy-man Bridger who was soaking it all in and.....well...didn't take nearly the number of pictures I should have. For example...I don't have a single picture of the giant slip-n-slide that all of the kids {and some adults}spent the entire evening on, nor do I have a picture of the kiddie swimming pool that the toddlers were splashing in. Oh and as for guests-we had 48 people partying with us that day...and I have pictures of about 5 of you. {Insert giant sigh} You win some you lose some, right? Perhaps this is what normal, non-camera-happy moms feel like? ;)

| Welcome sign and table (pre-food). There were about 7 different picture frames with pictures of Bridger over the past year sprawled out on the back side of the food table. My brother was nice enough to bring a canopy and set up for us so all of the food was covered in shade. |

| The birthday boy! 2 years old and as handsome as can be! :) |
| Hamburgers, hotdogs, potato salad & frog-eye salads served in beach buckets with shovels, grape kabobs, watermelon, blue jello cups with gummy fish, chips, lemon water & Coke. |
| Beach birthday cupcakes! |
| Opening presents. This boy was so spoiled by everyone who came! Thank you, thank you! |
| Wearing the hat that his twin cousins Wyatt & Cyrus gave him. :) |
| More presents. This one is actually a kids Camelbak Bridger received from Uncle Patrick & Aunt Megon...since every time we are together he steals one of theirs and helps himself. ;) |
| The adult party favors....didn't even get a picture of the kid favors. They each received a mini-beach bag with bubbles, squirt guns, and leis. |
Thank you to everyone who came to Bridger's party! He had a great time and would like to do it all over again tonight...Scott and I don't quite feel up to it yet...still recovering. ;) Give us a year.
And, an extra special thank you to my awesome hubby who spent the entire evening standing in front of the hot grill cooking up all the meat!
