Santa made a 'surprise' appearance toward the end of the ride. Bridger yelled 'Santa! Santa! Ho! Ho! Ho!' over and over again when he entered our train car but wasn't quite sure once Santa was front and center saying, "What would you like for Christmas, Bridger?" When B started crying, Santa tried to bribe him with a bell (which he now walks around the house shaking and saying, "Santa! Bell! Santa! Bell!"). Didn't work. As soon as Santa turned away Bridger wanted him back again. When Santa was done with the little girl in the seat adjacent to us, Santa turned back around to give Bridger another chance at spouting out his wish list. Bridger again got scared with the bearded jolly old Saint Nick in front of him and turned into my shoulder. Santa offered him 2 more bells but, alas, it was no luck. Oh well. Santa still visited our house the very next night and brought Bridger exactly what he wanted! Fancy that.
After our ride on the Polar Express the whole family went to Tony's Tacos. Our sick baby had just about had it at that point and I was ready to throw in the towel. Let's just say it wasn't the most peaceful dining experience I've ever had. We were all glad for the silent ride home. (Yes, Bridger slept..) ;)
