Christmas 2010

Christmas this year was wonderful! Here are some pictures and a brief overview...

I made a Christmas Eve dinner for Scott & I. We had roast, potatoes, carrots, chunky applesauce, and green beans....no dessert. What was I thinking? ;)

Bridger had a bottle and a nap.

Christmas morning we all went down to see what presents Santa had left for us! Bridger must have been extra good...look at all of those presents!

Santa must have known that an orange in Bridger's stocking would be a big hit...ha!

Santa brought Scott a cordless drill and a set of 100 drill bits. {Looks like Santa got my note about Scott needing to hang the decorations for Bridger's room!} He also got some soccer clothes, dress socks, gift cards, a temple bag, and a book I made for him.

On Christmas morning Scott reminded me of how it was opening presents last year...me, sitting on the couch, doing my best not to throw up. ;) This year was much better! {Look, I'm actually smiling!} Santa brought me some of my makeup, a new Cricut, 2 Cricut cartridges, 2 photography books and a hot glue gun.

We were able to talk to Scott's parents in France while we were opening presents on Christmas morning! {I don't know what we would do without Skype!} Aren't they so cute with their missionary badges? It is hard to believe they will be home in a little over 4 months! We tell Bridger every day that it won't be long before his Nana & Papa are home to cuddle with him!

Since Aspen has been so good this year, Santa brought her some toys and bones in her stocking! She loved every minute of Christmas playtime. {Notice there was no snow on the ground for Christmas this year}

After we opened presents at home we packed up the car and went to my parents house. We were happy to have my grandparents {my mom's parents} join us for breakfast even though my grandpa had to have an unexpected re-do of a surgery the day before. Bridger loves his great-grandparents! {I wasn't thinking and didn't get a picture with them before they left to make the rounds.}

Of course Bridger had to wear his Santa suit on Christmas day! We are working on that 'bowl full of jelly'.

Patrick & Megon arrived in the late afternoon {they were are her parent's house} and so we waited until then to open the presents we give to each other. Patrick & Megon gave my mom this cookbook.

If you don't know my brother and his wife, you have to know
that they both have such an awesome sense of humor...

...which is why they covered up the 'beautiful' painting I gave Megon for her birthday {as a joke} with a poster of the evolution of space suits and gave it to my dad! For some unknown reason my macho father is terrified of space suits. He honestly couldn't even look at this. We were all laughing so hard.

On Monday morning when Scott & I left my parents house, I propped it up in my dad's bedroom for him to see when he got home from work that night. My mom said he wasn't amused. We laughed hysterically. :)

Scott & I gave Patrick this book that he has been wanting to read as well as a new belt.

Megon is my running hero. She runs several miles a few times a week. My parents gave her this watch that has a GPS in it to track routes, measure heart rate, track progress, and a whole bunch of other fancy things. Scott and I gave her an Under Armour shirt to wear with it. ;)

My parents spoiled Scott with 3 dress shirts, dress socks and 2 ladders! I was even more spoiled when I received a bunch of studio lighting equipment {2 softboxes with strobes, an umbrella, reflector, wireless trigger, light stands and 3 backdrops}! Unfortunately there was a part missing and so I haven't had a chance to use it yet. It should be arriving in the next couple of days so hopefully I'll get things up and running. I can't wait to try it out!

Bridger received LOTS of clothes and toys from Gramma & Grampa! He had a fun time pulling off the paper and then trying to eat it. Thank you, Mom & Dad for everything!

Santa brought Bridger his very own Johnny Jump up. He isn't quite big enough for it yet but Mom can't wait until he can jump around while hanging from the pantry door so she can make dinner!

Santa gave Dad coal. Probably because my Mom bought him a ridiculously fancy snowblower. ;)

Every year after all the presents are unwrapped and the house is {mostly} put back together, I am reminded once again how much family means to me and how grateful I am for the MANY blessings my Heavenly Father has given me. Scott and I feel so blessed to have one another, a beautiful & healthy son, our family, friends and most of all, a testimony of the Savior. We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!
