It is Scott's family tradition to head up to the Oakley Rodeo on the night of the 4th each year. This year was no different. All 13 of us (we missed Ella and Marsha...and of course the Waxhawites and the Houstonians) drove up to celebrate our independence with bulls, clowns, trucks and
real cowboys. Before the show even started it was quite the experience for me. The girls restroom was out of order and so of course I decided to have the family stand guard while I used the mens. Well, they got talking and didn't notice the poor fella who walked in on me! He just kept saying, "I'm sorry! I thought this was the mens!" I was
trying to explain while both of us were avoiding eye contact at all costs. It didn't help that the mens bathroom was out of toliet paper...and paper towels. How do men live like that? Oh well. I survived. Here are a few pictures from our honky tonk evening.
