College Grad

Well-I'm DONE! Commencement and Convocation exercises were held last Thursday and Friday (I only went to convocation) which makes me an official college graduate. It still seems a little surreal that I don't have to go to school anymore, but I'll take it.

Mom, Dad and Patrick chauffeured Scott and I down to Cougar town on Friday for the ceremony. Mom was SUCH a trooper having been in the emergency room the night before due to pains in her stomach (she's doing much better now). Scott's parents were also so sweet and came down to join in the celebration.

The ceremony began at 2:00 p.m. in the Wilkinson Center Ballroom. I'll admit that I was terrified to 'walk'. The whole time I knew I was going to be that girl who tripped and fell on her face down the stairs while some wise guy in the audience made the comment, "She can graduate from college but she can't take on stairs." It turns out my legs didn't fail as I thought they would. phew.

After 'walking the walk' we went around campus and took a few pictures. I gave my parents the sole of gratitude around my neck in appreciation for all that they have done for me throughout my college experience. Patrick enjoyed being photographer and taking advantage of the '3 photos per second' feature of my camera.

(never thought i would graduate with a hubby, but the best surprises are unexpected)

(we found a large fan in the testing center...we turned it on...and this is what happened)

Stay tuned...tomorrow's post is graduation dinner...
