Viva Las Vegas!

(Ah, Sin...)

My cousin Millie decided to get married this past weekend in Vegas and so I tagged along with my mom and dad to support her and as a personal excuse to go on a much needed vacation. We left on Friday afternoon and drove down. In order to not waste any time on the drive, I read aloud from one of my school books. (I tried reading to myself and just ended up dozing off...) Kudos to the parents for putting up with my rambling about history, reasoning, universality, and such.

We arrived in Vegas about 6:30ish and after finding our room and settling a bit we went to dinner. The service at the Garden Grill was lacking to say the least but the food was pretty good and seemed to settle the rumblings of our stomachs.

After dinner we decided to walk from our hotel (Circus Circus) down to see the water show at the Bellagio. None of us had ever seen it before and we thought it would be something to do besides hanging out and watching movies in the hotel room. For any of you who are familiar with the strip, you know that Circus Circus is NOT very close to the Bellagio. In fact, the next day we measured it in the car as about 4 miles round trip. Nonetheless, it was a beautiful night and we definitely got our exercise in and enjoyed the show.

Saturday morning we got up and got ready for the wedding, checked out of our hotel and then head over to the Paris Casino. The ceremony was held in the Chappelle du Paradise. Having never been to a Vegas wedding before, I was in awe to say the least. Millie's colors were black and white and the flowers in her bouquet were so awesome with the white flowers mixed with black feathers. I loved Annie and Sarah's (bridesmaids) dresses! They were so funky!

After the ceremony, their wedding luncheon was held at Cheeseburgers inside of Planet Hollywood.

We are so happy that Millie and Ryan are FINALLY married!

It was so fun to spend that time with mom and dad. We had so much fun laughing and joking. They are the best parents ever! :) Thanks, Mom and Dad!

Hey there! It's been awhile since I've been able to sit and enjoy reading your blog! Hooray for finals being over!! :)

It looks like you guys have been up to A LOT! I love the Bellagio water show...my all time favorite was when it was set to "Singin' in the Rain" - so fun.

I'm glad you got out and were able to enjoy a trip with your parents, it's so great to get away every once in awhile!

Memories to last a lifetime! Thanks for keeping us company, Hydee. We'll have to plan another trip sometime...perhaps with a beach nearby.
