Lagoon Day!

I know I'm slow getting this post up but...late is better than never right?

It is fun to read all of the headstones that they have around the park. They do a great job with the decorations!

Ever since the middle of summer, Scott and I have been talking about going to Lagoon. I had not been for several years and Scott was not sure if he had ever been before. We decided that we wanted to go during Frightmares because not only do you get to enjoy the wonderful Fall weather, but they also do several haunted houses in the evenings.

I know I'm showing a little belly but...
if you had a stomach that small you would show it off too. ;)

We decided to go up to Kaysville on Friday (October 17th) and spend the night there so we could get up and head over in the morning. Some time between our time of arrival on Friday night and when we were leaving Saturday morning, we convinced Mom and Dad to join us for the day. (Patrick had already agreed to come with some friends.)

Our favorite ride

It was so much fun to spend the day with everyone and ride all of the rides which I hadn't been on before. The new ride, Wicked, seemed to be one of the favorites. I was also very impressed with the fact that Scott only peeked in the arcade room. I think that had something to do with the fact that the hunting game he wanted to play was broken. He did get the chance to play the "Guess It" game. Now, for those of you who are not avid Lagoon goers, allow me to explain.

Waiting in line....they weren't too bad that day, but still not the most entertaining thing to do. Well, unless you are with Mr. Scott Davis.

There are three different ways to win the "Guess It" game. The first way is by having the host of the game guess your birth month. If the host guesses your birth month or one month before or after, you lose the game. The second way is to have the host guess your weight within 3 pounds. (Let me add in here, they have you stand on a painted yellow star while they are guessing. I'm pretty sure it has a scale underneath it.) The last way to win is to have them guess your age within 3 years. Scott was certain that he could win by having the host guess his age since people are constantly asking him when he is going to graduate from high school or if he is planning on going on a mission. He paid the two bucks and we both slipped off our wedding rings. The girl wrote on her piece of paper how old that she thought he was and then said, "Okay, how old are you?" Scott's response of "26" certainly came as a shock to her as she showed the crowd her guess of "21." Needless to say, he won me a stuffed dog worth probably about 50 cents. Sunk costs are irrelevant though, all that matters is WE WON!

I loved this picture but Dad's eyes were closed! Sorry Dad, I had to post it anyway.

I am so happy that we all finally were able to enjoy a Saturday together! I've worked all but two Saturdays now (since June) so it is definitely nice to have a break and be able to do whatever we want.
I almost did not post this due to the inappropriate nature of what my brother was wearing. I caved however because of the hillarious woman in the background who was talking on her phone, looking through her purse, and wearing a hat which matched her pants. She just sat on the ground in the middle of the park and did this. Gotta love Lagoon...

Hyders! I'm invading your site! Very cute, mind you! I love the kid in the background of that pic where your dad's eyes are shut! Very funny look on his face (the kid - not Rick!). Hope you are doing well! I miss you! Love, Carolyn
