The Little Things...

Lately I've been forced to think about the things that are really important to me. With me being gone so much for work and school, I have come to realize that those happen to be the most simple and basic things...

Sitting down to dinner with Scott and talking about our day...

Snuggling up in my favorite pink blanket...

Having a clean kitchen...

Wrestling with the dog....

Ironing...

Reading a good book....

Jogging...

Talking to my mom on the phone...

I am certain that there will be a time when I'll miss the people I see on the fourth floor of the library, the chaos of the Wilkinson Center, the way my blood pressure goes up when I walk into the testing center, and the million stairs up to campus. As for now though...all those things are just a little too familiar.

I totally understand where you're coming from...except you have a lot better things than I do! You have a husband to snuggle with!!! And an actual kitchen to clean. ha ha. Plus, you definitely have less school than me, so I'll probably be climbing those blasted RB stairs for the next three years!!! Kill me now... Plus, when you're done with school then I'll REALLY never see you. Although your opinion definitely differs, I'd rather you stay in school. :) I'm selfish, I know, but deal with it...

How did we raise such a clever girl. I am so impressed with not only what you write, but with how you write it. What a great example you are. And just to clarify Patrick's comment, while I don't like ironing all those blasted "cuff" shirts, I do like the hugs when I am finished!

What a great post! I really need to follow your example and focus on the little things.

This is definately a good reminder! Thanks!
