Well--I survived Youth Conference! We had a good time and--nobody starved! Thank goodness for Costco and a cooperative baby who allowed me to spend 2 full days in the kitchen prior to my departure. :) Also, a shout out to my in-laws who watched Bridger during the days so Scott could go to work!I am slowing starting to tackle some of the things that have been left hovering over me for the past couple of weeks. One of which is updating this darn blog. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy doing it, I just seriously have not had 10 minutes to myself.
First up--I wanted to 'check in' and give an update on my progress for my list of 50 Summer Activities. So far I have completed #8, 15, 18, 23, 25, 32, 45, & 47! And, so far, I've already failed #16-Take a weekly walk with Scott & crew (we've missed a couple of weeks), & #10-Update our blog weekly--yep, missed last week. Anyway, I'm still pluggin' along thinking that if I fail in just those 2 I still did pretty darn good*. (*To be read as: this is an excuse to make myself feel better.)
Next up, I wanted to post a few pictures of the Memorial Day weekend (The weekend Scott's parents got home). Is it already the end of June? Yep. See--just a little behind. ;)

{look at this adorable tablecloth my sister-in-law had made for the occasion}

{Bridger LOVES his cousin, Ella}

{Check out the baby blues on this girl! We love Emry!}

{We celebrated Mom's 65th birthday on Sunday, May 29th! This is a book my sister-in-law Ashley worked SO HARD to put together. It has stories and thoughts from family and friends. She loved it! Way to go, Ash!}

{Bridger's cousins said 'NO!' to a bath with them--so, we made use of Nana's laundry room sink!}

{Sweet, sleeping Hailey! Unfortunately, Hailey didn't sleep too well for most of their trip. Who knew that she just wanted to be on Nana's lap? Poor Mama Ashley was sleep deprived! This little chunk is simply adorable. Does anyone else think she looks like 'Boo' from Monster's Inc.?}
I mentioned a few posts ago that Scott & I went to Boondocks our anniversary weekend with my brother and his wife. {That was their birthday present to us!} We had SO much fun playing laser quest, driving the go carts and playing arcade games. Do you think I could have my next birthday party there?
{Well, I was having fun until I saw these signs....haha.}
Also for our anniversary, Scott got us tickets to see Les Miserables at Capitol Theater! Les Miserables is my FAVORITE show and so I have been looking forward to it for a long time. We enjoyed spending some quality time together and were grateful for Gramma & Grampa who graciously took Bridger for the weekend. :) He loved it. We loved it. It worked.

The second week of June we had the chance to drive up to Couer d'Alene, Idaho with Scott's parents so we could visit Scott's grandmother who lives in a care facility up there. I had never met Grandma Vorie (who is 96!) before and so we were excited to go up and get to spend some time with her and introduce her to Bridger.
We started our trek on Tuesday night after Scott got off of work, stayed overnight in Idaho Falls and drove the rest of the way on Wednesday. We spend Wednesday evening and some of the day Thursday with Grandma and then started back. Thursday night we stayed in Montana and then made it home late Friday night--but not without a pit stop to Scott's parents property in Idaho. It was a quick trip but absolutely worth it. Couer d'Alene was even more beautiful than Scott had described it to me. It meant a lot for Scott to have us meet his Grandma and we enjoyed the time we were able to spend with Nana & Papa while we were driving.

{4 generations!}

{Bridger LOVED Grandma Vorie's swings!}
We celebrated Father's Day last Sunday! Scott is such an awesome 'Daddy' and Bridger just loves him to pieces. (Seriously, you should see him when Scott gets home from work. It is by far the best part of his entire day.) :) Bridger gave Scott some collapsible soccer goals to play with in the front yard and a string trimmer. Scott is very excited to no longer have to trim our grass with scissors! Happy Father's Day, Scott! We love you!
We also want to wish a Happy Father's Day to our Dads! Scott and I have the best parents ever. We often say that we don't know what we would do without them. We were able to celebrate with Scott's Dad last Sunday and this coming Sunday we'll have dinner with my family. Happy Father's Day to the two greatest Dads we could ask for!

Yesterday I 'convinced' my mom to take a half day off work to come to Cherry Hill with Bridger and me. We picked her up at noon, had lunch and then drove the rest of the way up to Kaysville. We enjoyed the time we spent splashing in Pirate's Cove, walking around the pool snuggling Gramma, and floating down Grant's Gulch--by far Bridger's favorite. Bridger crashed on the lawn chairs for a little while and Mommy worked on her tan...or was it burn? Still not sure. ;) We left Cherry Hill hot and sleepy and decided to head up to Pace's to get a peach rainbow....YUM!

When we got back to my parents house we decided to give Bridger a bath to wash off the chlorine and get him back into some normal clothes. We started his bath water and both Mom & I, now cold after eating ice cream in our wet swimming suits, decided we should just get in Bridger's bath with him to stay warm during the process. I wish that my dad would have come home at that moment to see Mom & I, sitting in the tub with our swimming suits on while Bridger looks on wondering what on earth we are doing in his tub. :) Hey, at least we were warm!
By the time we got cleaned up, Grampa came home and we decided to walk down to the farm to see the animals. On the way back, we stopped at the elementary school to slide down the slides and then walked to yet another park to see if they still had the bucket swings so Bridger could swing for awhile. They, of course, did not and so Grampa sat on the regular swings and held Bridger so he could ride. I wish I would have taken my camera! Bridger loved being held by Grampa on the swing!
The night was capped by going to the airport to welcome home Uncle Patrick & Aunt Megon who have been in Chicago for the past week. Bridger was excited to see them for a few minutes and we are looking forward to spending more time with them this weekend.
Alright, that's all for now folks!
