As a follow-up from my last post, I'd once again like to share with you how strange my dreams are. Last night, for example:
In my dream Scott and I were talking and for some reason I didn't have time to cut his hair and so I told him to go and have it cut somewhere. {Sidenote: I have cut his hair since we've been married because, let's face it...I'm cheap and refuse to pay $30 every 6 weeks for something I can do myself...even if I'm not the best there is}
Time passes in my dream and the next thing I know Scott is back at home. This time his hair is cut and I'm asking him all about where he went, who cut it, etc. During the course of that
conversation I found out that he had our bishop's 18 year old son cut his hair. I was shocked and kept saying, "Why would you let him cut it? He doesn't even have a beauty license!" (Which is ironic because neither do I...) Then came the kicker. I said, "Well, so how much did you pay him?" {Scott's response was very much in line with how he would respond if this was reality.} Scott: "It was expensive."
Hydee: "Well, how expensive is expensive?"
Scott {mumbling}: "90"
Hydee: "Did you just say $90?! Are you kidding me? For a haircut?! You must be out of your mind! What a joke! Scott, that is ridiculous."
Dream Scott continued to say how yes, it was a lot of money but 'neighbor boy' really wanted to do it and so he just had to.
Then I woke up. Ah, yes. I woke up feeling like I was $90 richer and much happier with that husband of mine.
So, I took my dream as I sign that I really needed to follow the 'subtle' hints Scott has been giving for weeks and give Bridger a long-overdue new 'do. This afternoon I busted out the shears and snipped away while Bridger thoroughly enjoyed 10 full minutes of staring at himself in the mirror--by far one of his favorite pastimes. I'm considering this Bridger's first official haircut...at least, that's how it will go down in the record books. Here is a before and after shot of my patient little dude.

Before-You're going to do what to me?!

After-Oh, Mom. Are you done taking pictures yet?

I love the new haircut! He looks like such a little stud.
Okay.. this baby is too cute for words. I can't even discuss it. Cute, cute, cute. Maybe even beautiful-in a non-feminine way, okay?
