Love Day

Valentine's day was SO much fun this year! We didn't do a whole lot. In fact, we really didn't do too much of anything but that is what made it absolutely fantastic!

(my valentine)

We woke up, took care of the dogs (still dog sitting) and got back into bed for a nap. After sleeping into the afternoon, we played Wii for a couple of hours, finally took showers, got ready and then ran some errands.

(In the process)

It had previously been decided that instead of going out for dinner we were going to cook dinner together! We found a recipe that we wanted to try, went to the store to get the ingredients and then came home to make it. We ended up making corn chowder with creme brulee for dessert. After dinner we sat on the couch and talked for a couple of hours before starting a chick flick around 11. Of course, I couldn't keep my eyes open past the previews so Scott ended up watching it by himself with me snuggling up next to him.

(Pre-flame torch)

Aspen got herself a new toy for Valentine's Day and she hasn't put it down since. She LOVES it more than I thought any dog could ever love a toy and is always throwing it to herself by flinging it up in the air and catching it.

(crazy pooch)

I am so glad that I got to spend the entire day with my Scottie just kicking back and doing nothing. We rarely get the chance to spend more than a couple of hours together in the evenings and so I treasure every moment of it.

Valentine's Day was yet another reminder that I'm the luckiest girl in the world. I never imagined that this is what marriage would be like. It is truly 100 times better than I ever thought it could be and I'm so glad ours is forever.

That is the sweetest Valentine's Day entry I have seen! (Okay it is the only one I've seen, so far, but I loved it). You and Scott were made for each other. I'm glad you had such an awesome Valentine's Day together!

How fun, isn't it wonderful to just relax at home with your hubby. I'm impressed with the dinner that you guys made! Very cute. :)
