Scott pulled into Mulligans (a golf course that has a driving range, miniature golf, and batting cages) and told me that we would be spending the evening together for some 'friendly' competitive miniature golf. I tried to warn him by telling him that our family had a season pass to Mulligans when I was younger so he may not want to do that but he seemed fairly confident and up to the challenge.
After selecting the appropriate clubs (so important in mini-golf) and colored balls (Scott--orange, Hydee--purple) we decided on the "Haunted House" side of the course. I think that Scott had changed his mind about us playing on about hole 3. I had TOLD him that I took it seriously and his disbelieving and somewhat sarcastic "Oh my gosh!" comments as I walked around each putting green told me pretty quickly that he really didn't know what he was getting himself into.
Well...no need to go into details about how it went. I won by a fairly significant margin but who really was keeping track? :)
With our Dippin' Dots in hand we went home to find ourselves too sleepy to watch the planned movie. I guess all that intensely competitive mini golf takes it right out of you! I'm just hoping that this wasn't one of those first and last kind of activities...
Thanks for the fun night, Red!
